Horsepower Connection Dyno Dynamics 2400hp Chassis Dyno

Chassis dynos are essentially tuning aids. Use them to dial in your EMS mapping, not to brag to your friend's that you made XXX hp. When he blows you away at the stoplight, you'll just look, just, well, uninformed.

At Horsepower Connection this is also our philosophy Chassis Dynos are for Tuning your Car, Bike, Truck, Quad ect.. It really does not matter what you made at the last dyno you put your rig on. The only thing that matters is after you are done you made more power than your baseline pull. One customer's car made 80hp and 100ft/lbs of torque more than his last tuner, that is a difference you will feel.

   
We always start with a baseline pull with no changes to your car. At this point it really does not matter how much power you made at the last dyno or what your buddy made on the internet. We are after real gains, what it made before we started and what it makes when we are done... repeatable numbers.

From what we have found on a 450hp car a local dyno jet reads high by about 15% and a local Mustang Dyno reads within 5% of our Dyno Dynamics Dyno.

You ask what number is correct? There is no real way to answer that, it depends on the dyno operator, correction factor used or not used, how the software calculates the figure, how tight the straps are set. There are many other variables that affect your horsepower figure. For an EFI system the only way to correctly tune your car is with a steady state dyno like our Dyno Dynamics dyno.

There is no other dyno in the northwest that can dyno something with up to 2400hp. Many of the Dyno Jet dynos max out at 1200hp and their "bigger" is only good for 1800hp.
